What is Kratom?

Kratom is a tree that grows naturally in Southeast Asia and South Africa. It is more formally known as Mitragyna Speciosa. It has been used in Indonesia for energy, pain relief, and mood elevation for thousands of years. It was primarily used to help people work long, strenuous hours in the field.

It is related to the coffee plant and has a similar mechanism, making it stimulating but without elevating your heart rate. Kratom is also very efficient in helping aid in pain relief. The main two compounds in Kratom that give its effect are mitragynine and 7-hydroxy mitragynine. People have commonly used Kratom to help them aid their symptoms of chronic pain, insomnia, mood elevation, concentration, focus, and other mental and physical performance-enhancing effects.

The Difference Between Vein Colours

Kratom has a Vein that runs down the middle of the leaf, which, when processed, gives the end product its distinctive colour. Each Vein colour of Kratom has a unique effect and is what gives different Kratom strains their unique characteristics.

GREEN VEIN

Green Vein kratom is balanced in the sense that it is both energizing and relaxing at the same time. It improves your energy, attention and concentration but also gives a sense of calmness. It also offers pain relief. Many people enjoy green strains as they provide pain relief but also energy at the same time. Green Kratom is picked when it is young and ripe, which gives a balanced alkaloid profile.

RED VEIN

Red Vein Kratom is very potent and long-lasting. It is commonly used to help with pain, relieve anxiety, and help with insomnia. The red colour comes from the maturity of the leaves, which often contain a high level of 7-hydroxymitragynine, which is one of the more pain-killing and relaxing alkaloids.

WHITE VEIN

White Kratom is typically very stimulating and great for working out and doing physical activities. It makes for a great caffeine substitute, as it offers very stimulating effects without an elevated heart rate. It can reduce anxiety while giving you energy. It is picked at a young age when the vein is white and contains a high level of the alkaloid mitragynine, the more energetic alkaloid in the kratom leaf.
